Digital (Process Automation)

Redesign core processes and automate the right steps—notifications, approvals, quality loops—to cut manual work and defects.

Highlights

Value-stream redesign

Clarify decision rights, keep humans-in-the-loop where it pays

Automation fabric

Event-driven orchestration across apps, bots, and roles.

Loops & controls

Data to dashboards to issue detection & notification to root-cause identification & solution proposal to data & repeat

Importance & common pitfalls

“Digital” means redesigning workflows and automating only the steps that create value—think event-driven notifications, approvals, and feedback loops. It matters because well-scoped automations repeatedly show cycle-time and cost wins in practice. Common traps: automating broken processes, brittle bots without change control, scaling pilots without governance, and over-promising “AI” where rules would do.

What we do differently

What you get

  • Leaner flow before automation; fewer steps = lower tech spend

  • Reusable automations (playbooks), compliance captured by default

  • Data is scattered; no clear daily view
Solution: Unified KPI Dashboard — connect POS/e-comm, accounting, CRM, and Sheets via APIs. Role-based views, drill-downs, targets vs actuals, anomaly pings.KPIs: revenue, gross margin, AOV, conversion, AR/AP aging, cash runway.
Outcome: One source of truth; faster stand-ups; fewer ad-hoc reports.

  • The “daily/weekly report” is 20+ manual steps
Solution: One-Click Macros (VBA / Apps Script) — refresh data, recompute, export PDF, and email/slack the pack automatically.

KPIs: cycle time, touches per run, failure/rework rate, hours saved/week

Outcome: Minutes instead of hours; repeatable and auditable.

  • Repetitive manual steps eat hours and cause errors
Solution: Workflow Automation: replace copy-paste and email chains with forms + approvals + e-sign + notifications; auto-write to your systems (e.g., vendor onboarding, credit memos, time-off, expense approvals).
KPIs: cycle time, touches per item, error/rework rate, % steps automated, hours saved/week.
Outcome: Minutes instead of hours; fewer mistakes; audit trail by default.

  • We can’t answer key questions because data isn’t captured
Solution: Minimum Viable Data Capture (MVDC), define Question → Metric → Field/Event, then add lightweight collection points: reason codes at POS/CRM, QR scans at stations, short mobile checklists, event logs for “why” (returns, stock-outs, downtime).
KPIs: field fill-rate %, data completeness, coverage of priority questions, time-to-insight.
Outcome: New, reliable metrics (e.g., return reasons, lost-sale causes); better decisions and model inputs.

  • On-prem files/apps; no backups or easy remote access
Solution: Cloud Starter Pack — move shared files to Drive/OneDrive, add SSO, nightly backups/versioning, and (if needed) containerize one internal tool. Basic audit logs + offboarding checklist.
KPIs: backup success rate, restore time, % users on SSO, access errors.
Outcome: Secure access anywhere; simpler onboarding/offboarding; quick restores.
